The luminarias in the Jacksboro district auditorium form a pathway to hope Tuesday evening as the Jack County Relay for Life organizers finished up the annual Relay that was cut short due to weather May 17. This year, they included pictures in a slide show of those who had lost the battle of cancer and those who were fighting. At the original celebration May 17, high winds, rain and storms threatened attendees and booths were shut down three hours early. The event was changed from late March to late May this year and shortened from 12 hours to 6 hours. The final raffles were announced and fundraisers wrapped up at the luminaria ceremony. It was a successful Relay despite difficulties, with approximately $45,997 raised.
