April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Jack County Child Welfare Board is wrapping up their fundraiser to recognize children.
They have been selling “Pinwheels for Prevention.” The pinwheels will carry the name of a loved one in “honor of” or in “memory of” and will be placed on the Jack County courthouse lawn April 28. They are a visual reminder about child abuse prevention and they symbolize the importance of everyone working together to protect the children.
To purchase a pinwheel, call Leslie Jackson at (940) 229-4965 or Susan Damron at (940) 507-0635.
The Jack County Child Welfare Board is a non profit 501(c)3 organization and they use every dollar to help a child in need. Their purpose is to identify and meet the needs of Jack County children and act as a liason between the county and Child Protective Services.
The needs continue to grow each day, regardless of the state of the economy. Please be generous this April and donate your tax-deductible gift to the Jack County Child Welfare Board today.
