Museum to benefit from Texoma Gives Day

Fri, 09/09/2016 - 4:16 pm

One Jack County nonprofit organization will be a part of the inaugural Texoma Gives Day.

The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation will host Texoma Gives Day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 to help area nonprofits raise funds.

The day is an online giving day for 146 registered nonprofits in 18 North Texas counties and six Southern Oklahoma counties.

The Jack County Museum is one of those nonprofits and donations can qualify for matching money or “prizes” throughout the day.

For example, the Texas Counties Blast Off prize will award the first three nonprofits located in a Texas county to receive donations at or after 6 a.m. with $1,000 each.

For the nonprofit with the greatest number of unique donors from 3-3:15 p.m. that day will receive the Blue Light Special: Afternoon Break prize of $15,000.

Anyone in the world may donate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (CST) on a computer or mobile device.
