Jacksboro High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of American  hosted its Stomp Out Obesity 5k Walk/Run March 22.

Thirty participants joined in the event to raise awareness of the growing epidemic obesity. Obesity is now the top leading health issue in United States and Texas is the 19th most obese state.

The walk had a great turn out and FCCLA members are very thankful for everyone that donated money and participated in the walk/run.

The group raised more than $300 to donate to a nonprofit organization with the purpose of fighting the obesity epidemic and all the related sicknesses caused in the United States, especially for children.
