A bus will be parked at the courthouse this Friday and the local Lions Club organization hopes to fill it with school supplies for the children of Jack County. From 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Lions Club members will be accepting your donations of school supplies or money and all the supplies will be donated to the Jack County Back to School Fair Aug. 8, to be distributed to the children in need. Lions Club President Clint Myrick says, "We were excited to be included in the Back to School Fair project. Several of our Lions have played integral roles in providing school supplies annually for many years, decades in fact. "One of our Lions came up with the 'Pack the Bus' idea and collectively as a group, we felt that Pack the Bus will maximize our ability to collect the most school supplies to help Jacksboro children that are in need. "We hope this project is successful and we can continue it for many years to come. The Jacksboro Lions will be ready to serve this Friday with our newest project. "Our goal is to pack the bus completely with supplies. Please help us reach our goal." Some supplies requested are wide rule notebook paper, folders of any color with brads, crayons, erasers, pencils, colored pencils, markers, pens, wide rule spiral notebooks, and glue sticks.
