Wise Hope Domestic Violence Task Force opened its new office in Decatur at 608 N Business 287 April 1. The task force offers help and shelter to victims of domestic violence in Montague, Jack and Wise counties. The open house celebration and ribbon cutting took place before a crowd of board members and dignitaries from all three counties. President of the Board, Lynn Long of Decatur and formerly of Bryson, and Task Force Director Pat Slayton of Runaway Bay (holding scissors) did the ribbon cutting honors. Attending from Jack County were board members Lanora Joslin (left of scissors) and Chief Terry McDaniel (right of scissors). Also in attendance was Ken Joslin, (second from left) of Jacksboro City Council. Ginger Johnson who presents programs throughout all the counties, her most recent being very successful programs on bullying and related topics in some of the area schools, was also on hand for the ribbon cutting.
