Back to school immunization clinic set for Thursday

The Department of State Health Services will be conducting a Back to School Immunization Clinic in 

Jacksboro, at Live Oak Baptist Church, 1014 Wichita Ave., on Thursday,  August 18, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

Vaccines are available for kindergarten, seventh grade, and college entry.  All infant immunizations will also be offered.  Adult immunizations are available to those who qualify.

The Texas Department of State Health Services provides vaccines for those on Medicaid, no insurance, American Indian, Native Alaskan, and the under-insured.  CHIPS, Medicare, and private insurance are not accepted at this clinic.  If your private insurance covers vaccines, you will be referred to your doctor.  Parent or guardians must accompany a minor.  VFC vaccines are provided for $10 per visit, with a maximum of $20 per household.  Adult vaccines are $20 per visit for the adult with no insurance.  No one will be denied services due to inability to pay.
