A devastating house fire takes a family's home, but its members appear OK.

Emergency personnel responded to the fire at 317 N. 4th St. in Jacksboro at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday.

The call went out on the scanner that two boys were in the structure that was fully-involved when firemen arrived.

As the firemen were fighting the flames, the 5-year-old resident walked up the driveway from the back yard where he was quickly scooped up by an EMT to be checked for injury.

The 11-year-old resident of the home was also found located outside the home with no apparent injuries.
The two boys and their grandmother, Connie Wilkerson, owner of the home, were transported by ambulance to Faith Community Hospital as a precaution.
