Jack County first hosted a National Day of Prayer event at Jacksboro City Hall in 2010 and a new event has been added in the countyeach year since. The event has grown from 10 participants to more than 60.
“We encourage everyone, wherever they are at noon Thursday, May 1st to pray for our country,” said event supporter Sharon Van Baale.
“If you can make one of these events, please join us! There are seven centers of prayer that the National Day of Prayer Task Force suggests that we focus on — government, church, military, family, education, media and businesses. Please pray for our country, now and always.”

Preceding the National Day of Prayer events is a “Pray Where You Are” 24-hour prayer vigil to pray for our county.
“This county has been experiencing more than its share of death and tribulation,” Van Baale said. “We need everyone that can, to pray for God's intercession, restoration and blessing on our county.”
