John Thomas Sharp, of Antelope was born Jan. 15, 1947 to John Thomas and Nina Lois (Barry) Sharp in Bisbee, Ariz.
He passed away at his home in Antelope Sunday April 6. He was 67 years old.
John married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Cherry Louise Baggett Jan. 13, 1967 in Wichita Falls.
He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and served in Vietnam. He was owner and operator of Sharp Electric, Inc and a master electrician.
He was a founder of Texoma Cowboy Church and lead guitar player in the White Horse Gospel Band. But most importantly he loved his Lord and was a loving and devoted husband, daddy and grandpa. He loved his family more than anything and did everything he could to take care of each and everyone of them.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Fred Sharp.
Among those who will cherish his sweet memory include his wife Cherry Sharp of Antelope; his daughters Tammy Self and husband Buzz and Teresa Blevins and husband Brad all of Antelope, Traci Cafagna and husband Ronnie of Post Oak; brother Jerry Sharp of Antelope; grandchildren Nicole Self Mayberry and husband Jonathan, April Self Burgess and husband Bradley, Johnny Blevins and Makenzie Johnson, Cheyenne Cafagna Deweber and husband Tres, Ethan Cafagna and fiance’ Cassidy Mass, Jacob Blevins and Jesse Blevins; great-grandchildren Haylie Mayberry, Andi Deweber and Rylee Deweber and many other extended family members and friends.
