The Jacksboro FFA attended the Area IV Career Leadership Development Events over the Thanksgiving holidays at Stephenville High School.

Eight teams and 32 students represented Jacksboro ISD and the FFA. These students competed in their respective events among all classifications of schools.

The Jacksboro FFA had three teams advance to the State Career Leadership Development Events that will be held in Huntsville Dec. 5-6.

Results for the area contest are as follows.

The junior chapter conducting team qualified for state by finishing first and is comprised of Shayleigh Preston, Kamlynn Thomas, Tyler Harmonson, Hunter Hackley, Landon Lewis, Cason Hull and Hanah Herd.

The junior skills team qualified for state by finishing first and includes Caleb Nunley, Trey Pruitt, Luke Dixon, Hannah Herd and Kamlynn Thomas.

The senior chapter conducting team placed second and qualified for state. The team is made up of Alexis Easley, Cayley Strickland, Karson Hood, Katelyn Bailey, Hunter Smith, Johnny Callan and Megan Harris.

The radio broadcasting team made up of Macy Thomas, Tori Aydelott, Cassidy Clayton and Taylor Dodson finished third.

Agricultural advocacy finished third place with team members Mariana Vela, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Taylor Dodson, Shalin Simmons, Megan Harris and Emilee Florance. Senior skills team members Lexi Burnett, Jessica Lamberson and Paige West placed fourth. Vanessa Garcia placed sixth in Spanish creed. The FFA public relations team placed sixth and is made up of Jack Lamberson, Bailey Harmonson, Raney Overton and Cayley Strickland.
