The Bryson Cowgirls defeated the Harrold Lady Hornets 45-42 Tuesday at Bryson.

The Cowgirl high point scorers were Emily Berend with 13 points, Jenna Pippin with 10, Julia Berend with seven and Riley Smith with six.

The game assist leaders were Emily Berend and Ashten Wiedebusch with two assists each.

Game steal leaders were Jenna Pippin with four and Katie Sherrin and Julia Berend each had three.

The game rebounding leader was Julia Berend with eight.

“Bryson Cowgirls started their season off with a winning record,” said coach Gary Kirby. “The Cowgirls, with strong defense and hustle has four wins and two losses.”

The Bryson JV girls beat Perrin 26-25 Tuesday.

The high point scorers were Kelsee Jennings with nine, Maryum Keyser with eight and Caleigh Forbus with five.

Rebounding leaders were Kelsee Jennings with five and Taylor Smith with four.
Caleigh Forbus had four steals and Breanna Denton had two.

“I was pleased with how hard the JV girls played,” said Kirby. “The victory was a complete team effort.”
