The 21 Seniors who began two-a-day practices on Aug. 5, actually began a quest to put their stamp on Jacksboro Tiger football history in the Fall of 2008 as they entered the seventh grade. These young men finished their junior high careers with only one loss, and entered high school with high hopes of gridiron success.

The first two years of high school football featured many struggles by these young men, but they pushed forward to earn the school’s first playoff victory in 10 years last season as well as the first District championship in a decade this year.

The 2013 year got off to a tough start for the Tigers as they dropped their season opener to Jim Ned and followed that with a blowout loss to Eastland that forced the Tigers to regroup.

They were able to get back on the winning track with consecutive wins against Olney, Lindsay and Archer City.
