The Warriors on Wheels Cycling Club, a division of Trinity Oaks, presents Ride Texas 2013 to benefit Wish for Our Heroes.

Beginning Tuesday, this event will take 24 bicyclists from Wichita Falls to Corpus Christi in the span of six days covering just over 500 miles.  The Warriors on Wheels club is devoted to find a way to give something back, to bring help and assistance to those who have given so much for our country.

Proceeds for this event will go toward assisting the Trinity Oaks Warrior Celebration and Wish for Our Heroes, so they may continue their efforts of supporting both wounded and non-wounded heroes.

Ride Texas 2013 will have a rest stop at Jacksboro High School Tuesday at approximately noon. The community is invited to come to the high school to welcome the riders to Jacksboro and show support for the cyclists.

The cyclists will include veterans and wounded service members. A short presentation will be held, including recognition of local veterans present at the ceremony.

Wish for Our Heroes is a volunteer-based, national, non-profit organization that provides assistance to military families struggling with burdens caused by deployment, family separation, and the daily strains of military life.

Wish for Our Heroes provides basic needs of military families before, during and after deployments.  More information can be found at wishforourheroes.org.
