The Jacksboro Tigerette volleyball team hosted the district-leading Henrietta Lady Bearcats Friday afternoon, hoping to upset the current front runners and move back into the post season race.

The JV Tigerettes got the afternoon off to a good start as they defeated the Bearcats in three games.

The varsity Tigerettes matched the Lady Bearcats hit-for-hit in the first game.

However, Jacksboro was unable to overcome one last surge by Henrietta and dropped the first game 25-19.

The Tigerettes put together one of their best games of the year in game three.

A kill from Brooklyn Green put the Tigerettes back in front and Jacksboro went on to win game three 25-23.

The Tigerettes fought back from a slow start in game four to pull to within a point.

However, Henrietta put together a run that gave the Lady Bearcats a five point lead that was stopped by a kill from Laake and the Tigerettes were able to close the gap to 11-8.

The Lady Bearcats then went on a run that the Tigerettes were not able to answer and Jacksboro dropped game four 25-9.

The Tigerettes will travel to Nocona Tuesday evening.
