It's rare these days to find an employee who's been with the same company for 10 years, let alone 40. So it's impressive that Sept. 17, First National Bank of Jacksboro Region President, Tim Cassle, will be celebrating his fourth decade at the bank. "The bank and the community have been good to me and my family," said Cassle, "The best part of working here so long has been the wonderful co-workers I've met over the years and the loyal customers of the bank." Cassle joined the 123-year-old bank in 1973 as a manager trainee. Over the years, he served as assistant cashier, cashier, vice president, and senior vice president, working his way up to president in 2009. He has also served as director and secretary of the bank's board of directors. Outside of his banking career, Cassle has been an ever-present fixture in the Jacksboro community. He's been a part of the community as: member of City of Jacksboro Planning and Zoning Committee; President of Jacksboro Chamber of Commerce; President and treasurer of the Jack County Museum; Member of the Community Advisory Committee for the Jacksboro Independent School District; past president (twice) and current treasurer of the Jacksboro Lions Club; past district governor of Lions District 2-E1; Chairman for 31 years of Texas Lions Camp Jump-a-Thon; Volunteer for the Concerned Citizens Meals on Wheels Program (with the First National Bank staff); Deacon and treasurer of the First Baptist Church. He's also been the recipient of the Jacksboro Chamber's "Outstanding Citizen of the Year" and the Lions International President Award. "Tim has not only been an influential leader in our company, he's also been a leader in his community," said Chuck Eikenberg, ViewPoint Bank EVP of Community Banking. (First National Bank of Jacksboro is a division of ViewPoint Bank.) "I'm impressed with his loyalty and commitment to the Jacksboro region and applaud his contributions over the past 40 years. We look forward to more years to come."
