First Assembly of God in Jacksboro, is hosting the southern gospel quartet, Mercy Song, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29 in the sanctuary, located at 321 N. Second Street in Jacksboro. The cost of admission is free, but a love offering will be collected and all proceeds will go toward promoting southern gospel music in this area. The event will feature Rev. Larry Green and his family, who are former pastors of Bethel Assembly of Jacksboro. Mercy Songs Tonya Eakins was voted the group female vocalist of the year in 2012 by the Gospel Music Artist Association. Mercy Song quartet was voted Gospel Music Artists Association Group of the Year 2012. Pastor Richard Cleghorn and the congregation invite you to come and enjoy this afternoon of inspirational gospel music.
