According to Joe Graham with Lake Country Radio, an arrest was made in a hit and run fatality that occurred early Sunday morning in Archer County.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Tony Fulton says Jarrod Bruce Smith, 26, formerly of Bryson, turned himself in at the Archer County Sheriff's Department around 8 am Wednesday.
He is charged with third degree felony failure to stop and render aid. Trooper Fulton investigated the accident and believes that 28-year old Jeremy Garren of Albany was struck and killed when he exited his vehicle on Highway 82 in order to change a tire.
His body was found a short time later lying in the ditch, with his truck still running.
The suspect vehicle was located later the same day, but no arrest was made pending the outcome of the investigation.
Smith lists his current address as Holliday.
