Jerry Craft presents a donation to the library with Sara Easter, President of Friends of the Library, and Library Director Lanora Joslin, along with his juvenile rendition of "Pitching for the Stars: My Seasons Across the Color Line." He said the publishers asked him to trim 125 pages from his original adult version of "Our White Boy," a book about when Craft played baseball for the Wichita Falls/Graham Stars as a pitcher, on an all-black team before the Civil Rights movement. This re-write is written for 6th-8th graders and has been nominated for a Bluebonnet and Lone Star Award. It is available from Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Channel 3 Reporter Daryl Franklin interviewed Craft and Clarence Miles for a story aired on July 4 on the 10 o'clock news.
