Jacksboro High School Sophmore Karson Hood was recently named an All American mascot at the National Cheerleaders Association camp at Texas A & M University- Galveston. Hood attended the camp with the entire Jacksboro High School cheerleading squad. While attending camp, Hood received instruction from a quality staff that included Texas Tech's mascot, "Raider Red." Nineteen mascots were at the camp and Hood received the best prop design at the camp, in addition to being selected as an All American Mascot. High School Counselor Dori Taylor is the squad's coach. She was very proud of Hood's accomplishments at camp. "Karson did an awesome job at camp. He is very creative and has lots of ideas to entertain the fans and increase school spirit." Karson will take on the role of "Tuffy" this school year. He is looking forward to the opportunity to use props and unique ideas to interact with the crowd and involve all ages of fans in the excitement of Tiger athletics.
