Wayne and LaNell Hudson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary June 21.
They were married at First Assembly of God in Jacksboro by Rev. Caldecoat, June 21, 1963.
LaNell grew up in Truce and they still live there today. Wayne grew up in Perrin and graduated from Perrin High School. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone 33-1/2 years until retirement.
LaNell worked for Bradley Jewelry in Bowie, Ed's Mens Wear in Jacksboro, the Gallery in Jacksboro and after retirement, she cooked for the kids at Chapman Christian School in Jacksboro.
She was well known for her beautiful flower arrangements and her baking. LaNell also enjoys her Keno nights with friends.
Both have been actively involved in the First Assembly of God Church where they were married and Wayne currently serves as a deacon there.

He recently received recognition for 50 years of service in Sunday School ministries.
They have two children, son Devin Hudson and wife Pam of Truce, and daughter Kristi Jones of Jacksboro; grandchildren Daniel Worsham, Dustin Hudson, Tiffany Hudson Moore and husband Wayne, Jordan Hudson and fiance Korie McGuire, Deserae Warren, Demi Warren, Delana Warren, Madison and Parker Jones; great-grandchildren, Aubrey McGuire, Makaayla and Malachi Moore.
The couple requested that the family not plan a public celebration, but took a vacation to Branson, Mo. instead.
